euqlic ("we," "us," or "our") operates the euqlic household task management application. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What we collect

• Account data: your email address and display name, used for authentication and to identify you within your household.
• Task data: task titles, notes, due dates, assignments, and other fields you enter.
• Usage data: which fields you correct after AI inference (stored to improve future suggestions for your account only).
• Voice recordings: audio captured when you use the mic button. Recordings are sent directly to OpenAI for transcription and are not stored by euqlic after transcription.

2. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the euqlic service.
• To send you task-related notifications and magic link emails.
• To improve AI inference accuracy based on your past corrections (stored per user, never shared across households).
• We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-party services (subprocessors)

euqlic relies on the following third parties to operate:

• Supabase (supabase.com) — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure. SOC 2 Type II certified. Data stored in US-East-1 (AWS).
• OpenAI (openai.com) — voice transcription via Whisper API. Audio is sent to OpenAI only when you use the mic button. OpenAI's data retention policies apply.
• Anthropic (anthropic.com) — AI task field inference via Claude API. Task descriptions are sent to Anthropic only when you use voice or the AI notepad. Anthropic's data retention policies apply.
• Bluehost — static file hosting for the web application frontend.

4. AI features and opt-out

Voice recording and AI-powered field inference are optional features. To use euqlic without them, use the text input fields directly and avoid the mic button and AI notepad. No AI processing occurs unless you trigger these features explicitly.

5. Data retention

• Task data and account data are retained until you delete your account.
• Completion history is retained for 12 months.
• Voice recordings are not retained by euqlic after transcription.
• AI inference correction logs are retained per user and can be deleted on request.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information).

7. Children

euqlic is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes by updating the date above. Continued use of euqlic after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
